So what’s the craic?
The world of English Language Teaching and the industry in which it exists is an interesting and varied one, plenty of positives but also plenty of negatives. Having completed my second masters in 2020, the year everything else stopped, I thought it was about time I start writing about the ELT world and the journey I’ve been on, both good and bad, as a means of helping out or offering advice to some, but also as a warning in terms of what there might be hiding in the shadows for new teachers.
As I write this in November 2020, while in isolation and an Italian curfew and semi-lockdown going on outside the flat, this blog/website will be used as a means to show research that I’ve done, materials and ideas I’ve used in the classroom and to discuss anything interesting that I’ve come across.
If you’d like a more detailed look at an online CV, head over to LinkedIn which contains an up to date list of everything that I’ve done so far.
Slán go fóill, Alan.
P.S. You may also notice a load of wildlife or scenery photos in blogposts – they are all my own photos taken on hikes somewhere around Europe.
